We choose not to work for homosexuals.

There. That's my contribution for the "hometown" theme today. This is right in my backyard!!!
Wow.

I will gladly work for any homosexuals out there - I'm cheap, I'm easy, and I'm centrally located (well, not really) in beautiful New Hampshire.

I work well with children and pets, and be counted upon to be punctual and kind.

Fireman Outfit costs extra.

Lord said he filled out a form on the Farbers' Web site and received a return e-mail expressing enthusiasm for the project. He called the company Wednesday morning to set up an appointment.

"Mrs. Farber kept referring to me and my wife," said Lord. "I told her it was actually my partner."

He said she didn't say anything about that on the phone, but five minutes after they agreed to a Sunday appointment and hung up, he received the e-mail quoted above.

Yes on the phone + No in email = BIG WUSS

If I was a landscaper/gardener in that town, I would put up a big ol' ad, saying "I'll work for all the homosexuals that they won't," and run him out of business and make him look like a moron. And people general don't follow the lead of people publicly exposed as morons. And the couple in question should sue too.

And the couple in question should sue too.

Except that "gay" isn't a protected class, mostly.

Well, this might be a good test case, simply because most Americans believe in capitalism more than homophobia (and would have difficulty fathoming being unwilling to take somebody's money) so it might be a wedge.

I never knew money had a sexuality. Again, wow. Wonder how he's going to feed those four kids due to the loss of business. Manna from heaven?

Not very good Christians, are they?

"It's hard to imagine that when Sabrina Farber sent out an e-mail Wednesday she had any idea what kind of firestorm it would set off." That's a very weak imagination you have there.

"Were I posting, I would commend the Farbers for standing by their principles in an age where money trumps all." Hey I commend them for standing by their principles too but how about a little compassion and class? As in "I am sorry but we do not support same sex unions and respectfully ask that you do not ask us for a quote" delivered face-to-face or on the phone?

If you want respect, give some respect.

"phew...i'm glad you outted yourself as a bigot...because we choose not to work with bigots"

that would have been my response.

my partner & i would've laughed.
