Erik Satie pieces for guitar. These simple pieces are just gorgeous, and perfect for the rainy afternoon here in Baltimore (although they'd also lend a kind of desperate poignancy to a sunny spring day). The whole UbuWeb site is great: Debord, Maya Deren and William Burroughs films, audio performances by Dan Graham, etc. From this fabulous FPP.
I see from exploring the more inside over there that Blazecock Pileon posted UBUweb as an FPP which I missed. It mines many of the great offerings there.

Hm. That's heartrending music. Makes me want to make an animation to go along with it. Thanks for pointing me to it OmieWise. I'd skipped over that FPP due to lack of context.

I just found this animation via MJJJ's vox bolg, and it's excellent(!!), and would go well with the Satie stuff.

Thanks, omiewise, I missed that one. UBU took a little break for awhile and I haven't been over there to check it out, but I guess I have to now. I really liked the glossolalia section, which was linked on mefi (I think) a long time ago. I'm not sure why I liked it, but I did.

Won't somebody think of the angels? || Bring out your crayons! Especially the grey one.
