This just in: rainbaby is hilarious and brilliant.→[More:]

I attended Saturday night's performance of "Sordid Lives" in Richmond. The play is a raucous black comedy set in rural Texas. I'm not good at writing reviews, so I'll just say this: rainbaby, in her two medium-sized roles, completely stole the show. I wondered if I was biased because she is my friend, so I asked all who attended with me, and they all agreed. My face hurt afterwards from laughing so much.

It was a wonderful weekend, and I will attend every play rainbaby is in if she'll have me.

Oh my god, I had no idea that was the play she was doing... I WANT TO SEE IT!

rainbaby is hilarious and brilliant just in everyday life, so I can only imagine how she must be onstage.

BP! Are you still in DC? The tickets are not yet sold out for next week or the week after but you have to ACT NOW! Can you sneak away to Richmond for a Friday or Saturday night performance?

I am still in DC until the 23rd, but I'm not going to be able to get away at all for the rest of my time here (working 7 days a week- don't ask). Dammit! I would LOVE to see this.

mike9322 has one of the best smiles I've ever seen.

My rl friends took great hilarity from the fact that I will answer to "rainbaby" - general concensus it that it's about the stupidest nickname ever, which I accept and even embrace.

My gay friends were excited to find out I was a swinger, until I explained that no, I wasn't, you can meet people on the computer for other things too.

BP, I would have loved to have seen you earlier in your stay, but I couldn't get away because of the play.

I have one dressing room shot to put up on flickr eventually.

jonmc, thakya, and for the record, I do doff clothes (not all of them, no, no) and drink a real beer in the show. Nice.

I was a negligent photographer that night. I did manage one photo at the bar afterwards but it didn't turn out well at all. I do have a few pics up on flickr that rainbaby took, but unfortunately none that she's actually in.
