Wait a minute. There are threads that have sauerkraut?!

(As an aside, my dad has become completely obsessed with the fact that a small town near his family's digs in Iowa has a hundred-year-old "Sauerkraut Days" festival. Among other symptoms of his increasingly self-focused age is that we had sauerkraut three times last week -- fresh + leftovers -- and every time he brought up, "Did you know about Sauerkraut Days in Iowa?")

I will eat sauerkraut if I'm at a German place and it's the only starch/veggie they're serving.

My younger brother and I once had a saurekraut fight. We were the last two in the dining room because we wouldn't eat that shit. We ended up flinging it bit by bit onto the walls. We had to clean the walls, but at least we didn't have to eat it for breakfast (the usual result of not eating dinner).
