Richard Thompson is probably the best living British songwriter (and has been for many years).

"Keep Your Distance" is one of my favourites.

I like his version of So Ben Mi Ca Bon Tempo which is on the 1000 years of pop live album. I prefer the non-live version which is on an EP which I do not have.
