I remember once watching some documentary about teenage runaways on one of the Moral Turpitude Networks and they had a segment interviewing this crusading social worker who helped rescue these kids. She was gorgeous as well, and wore black hornrims, and had her hair cut in black Betty Bangs. I remember thinking that she must be one cool human.

(also, Tairrie B used to be a rapper, too, and even had the late Easy E in one of her videos.)

I just entered data on Rod Stewart's new album of 'classic rock' covers. One of them is "It's A Heartache," by Bonnie Tyler. When I was a kid, I thought that was Rod Stewart.

He's gone from being in some of the greatest bands ever and being one of the pre-eminent vocalists of his generation to covering people who tried to be his soundalike. That's so postmodern it's giving me vertigo.

(I'm working on Vince Gill's new 4CD set of new material now. I like him, but why 4cds? I'm up to 22 in the personnell list and that's just the vocalists(!))
