Mask or no mask, this guy is in for some serious health problems. Spray paint is way worse than people imagine. "Well ventilated" means banks of industrial fans and architectural air venting, and even then the neighbors are in for it.

Maybe he finds some inspiration in those fumes, like the Oracles at Delphi.
