This was good, as far as is it went, but there's no mention of the benefits of hanging upside down for healthful rest, or of anything to do with large airy caves for that matter, either. And of course, the ever popular position of stuffing one's head in warm sand wasn't even mentioned. So, on balance, a primer for the uninitiated, but little help for those with systemic sleeping difficulties.
You mean stretched out on a hard board with your head below your feet and a wet rag in your mouth ISN'T a restful postion? Learn something new everyday.
My secret to a comfortable bed is to have a firm mattress (I have a Sealy orthopaedic), and put a duvet (comforter) between the mattress and the bottom sheet. So you're lying on the firm support, plus the lovely softness of the duvet.
Essexjan, the most comfortable bed I ever had was a king, with a feather bed mattress topper, and a feather comforter above. Bliss.
That said, I can't see adjusting small pillows all night. I often start off sleeping on my stomach, and wake up on my back. So when am I supposed to move pillows around and still get restful sleep?
