Sheesh! This job transition thing is making me a nervous wreck. [More:]It's going smoothly, so why am I so stressed out?

Boss A is very supportive. Boss B has enough confidence in me that he is going on vacation and leaving me to run the business alone in a week.

I was cleaning out my desk today and got just immeasureably sad.

Tomorrow is my last day. I will have been with Boss A for exactly eight years. I started the day after Labor Day, 1998.

Just nervous in the service, I guess. I'm usually cool under fire. It's the waiting and in-between time.
Aw, honey. These transitions are very very hard when you have a good relationship with the soon-to-be-former employer. It's the ending of a long, supportive relationship so of course it's hard. But hopefully you can keep in touch with your old boss anyway.
