I made her a bed on the couch and said I was turning in early. Then I locked my bedroom door.

I dug all the advice, by the way. True, she's a classic 'wounded bird' and she likely plays it off to get wht she wants. We've been friends for eight years and, though I'm no sucker, I couldn't bring myself to make her drive another four hours when she was obviously beat as hell. I might actually be a nice fellow.

So it worked out. She was out of the house by 7 a.m. and I'm feeling pretty good about the whole thing.
