Hard rain's gonna fall... Well, here I am in North Carolina awaiting the rain that Ernesto's gonna dump on us.It's pouring right now, and it hasn't even gotten here yet. And I'm snug in my new house that does NOT have a leaky falling-in roof (shudders whilst thinking of former abode.)

Soooo glad I mowed the lawn yesterday.

Keep your head above water, bunnyfire! It sounds like it could get nasty as far as flooding goes.

We got lucky down here in Atlanta... some rain earlier today and more predicted tonight, but really nothing more than usual later-summer rain. All of the heavy stuff is going to be up your way.

And: yay for non-leaky roofs!

The temperature dropped from the 90s yesterday to the 60s today over here, and lots o' wind. Wow.

q, we just moved across town (here in Fayetteville.) We were renting the other house because of the school district-since all the kids graduated, we no longer had to gut it out there.

This one we bought, and I love it.

Meanwhile, the wind has gusted up a little (I hear the trees swoosh) but it's nothing, really. I've been thru the real thing-this one is just an excuse to sit in the house and drink coffee.

Naw. But there are a lot of Fayettevilles out there.

Yes, I am a native of Fayetteville, NC, one of the few actually born here. Most get here courtesy of Uncle Sam.
