I don't want Mountain Dew anymore, I want chocolate milk. [strong language]
[More:]

Apparently left his mic on while arguing with his mom, so the other players heard this conversation.

This is what's wrong with kids today.

oh, i'm so going to sample that and use it in something...

hearing that little tantrum reminds me of the "good old days" when people would download napster after getting their new computers without realizing that the entire contents of their hard drive - including the silly little "mic-in-track" recordings they did with the musicmatch jukebox software that came with it - were up for grabs thanks to peer-to-peer file sharing.

i wonder if miriam holstead ever found out that stark effect used her voice to do his song "bunnyrabbits, satan, cheese & milk"?

Jeez, the kid who recorded that really sucks at video games.

Sweet buttery jesus. Do all kids talk to their moms like that? What game is he playing? Oh man I can't wait to show this to my son.

I just IMed this to my son, who found it hilarious. He then used it to demonstrate how he's "not that bad" when he stays up till 2 AM to play Halo2 and then gets a little bit pissy when I tell him to go to bed. He also told me the game is Rainbow Six, which everyone else probably already knew anyway.

How old is your offspring, ico?

He's 16, sciurus. His summer job ended at the beginning of August, and since he doesn't have to get up early any more, he stays up late. Which in itself is fine, but I'm a reeeeaaaalllly light sleeper and he puts the headphone thing on and chats with his friends while he plays (and taunts opposing players, loudly), and he constantly wakes me up. He's in a clan with his RL friends from HS, apparently none of them have jobs either...must be nice!

He gets kind of pissed when I tell him to turn it off but he knows that playing Halo till 2 AM is ridiculous anyway, so he makes a couple of faces at me (he scowls and glares a lot) and mutters under his breath and turns the Xbox off.

Heh. My mom was in a similar situation with me ten years ago, except I wasn't loud. There was just one TV to use. She wanted to watch Entertainment Tonight, I wanted to play Final Fantasy 7...

Oh well if it had been FF7, I would be pushing him out of the way to grab the controller... ;)

cloud+tifa4ever! That was the best game. The graphics, the story, the music, the atmosphere...loved it. And Sephiroth kicked ass as a bad guy.

Jeez, I'd have got seven bells knocked out of me if I'd tried even a hint of that attitude with my parents. Actually, they knocked the attitude out of me before it ever got started.

He asked for chocolate milk and she brought him a Dew? That's fucked up.
