My aunt once had a cat who suffered some neurological problem. She was named Wobbles, 'cause she walked like a drunk on a rolling ship. Her back end sometimes swung out to the sides as she walked, and to keep her balance, she learned to use her tail like a rudder. Her tail curled up over her back so it was almost flat against her spine. She made do, and was a very loving and sweet cat. Plus, she lived nearly 18 years.

She could get one of those cute little doggie wheelchairs that strap on to the back half of the animal's body.
