This is my last hour of employment. I got laid off today.→[More:]I kind of had a feeling when they announced in July that 100 positions would be eliminated that mine would be one of them. But damn, this sucks.

Well, Matt started jobs.metafilter.com. In Maine, the economy is not sucking horribly. It's rotten to be laid off, but I hope there's a great new job waiting.
