How are the pictures of the minors okay? I know they're not there for the purpose of child pornography, but still, is this legal?

You can find the photographer's own thoughts on that subject if you dig deeper into the site. Seems the pictures stir up little controversy.

What a find. Perhaps not the underage ones, though even they were poignant in their way. But all the women were beautiful, and their statements moving. Thank you for this.

It's kind of terrifying what a high proportion of mastectomies there are in those pictures - brings the statistics home.

These are great, thanks Miko. It's weird how squicked out I feel looking at pictures of little naked girls, though I know my parents have a ton of these pictures lying around my Mom's house.

I swim at a local college pool and one of the interesting things about that is getting to spend a lot of time showering with naked little old ladies. This is doubly interesting because a lot of them are the same old ladies that I teach computer classes to.

Those pictures really moved me, especially Jesse, Isabel, and Else.

I love naked women. All sizes, all colors, all types. Thanks.

I saw an exhibition, years ago, in college, of this set of photos. Even better in person, and in the company of an audience. Also heard the photographer lecture about his goals and methods and whatnot to an audience that was about half art students and half womens studies students, and that was... interesting.

These are beautiful, Miko... thanks for the link. What a great project. Powerful, moving. The piece about the photographer's own mother, Else, had me in tears. I'd like to send him a little money. (His address is on the site.) I admire his devotion.

Thanks Miko. I am tattoo free, mostly for professional (acting) reasons, but I always, since the first time I saw it, have known in my heart, that if I ever lost a breast, I would not reconstruct, but tattoo the scar and the loss. Wonderful project.
