One of the most unexpected headlines ever. File also under "statistically improbable phrases."
Thank God the cilantro crop was spared!

Too bad they couldn't have taken out cilantro instead.

Heard about this on BBC World Service yesterday, and am preparing for the pestocalypse by buying up all the basil I can get my hands on and making gallons of pesto for my own private stash. I will knock over old ladies in my quest if I have to, so look out!

Also, don't even think of breaking in and stealing my precious precious pesto--my cat may look like a suck, indeed may even act like one, but this is his camouflage. He will in fact shoot anyone who goes near my freezer with the lasers I had implanted in his yeys.

Yey lasers. Good thinkin'.

What a great headline. It sounds like the title of a Guided By Voices song.

In college my room mate had a blow-up on his door of his favorite Wall Street Journal headline: "Shriners Sue Jello for Frankenchrist". When asked why his answer was "You don't hear THAT everyday!", which was actually true.

The yey is a little-known part of cat anatomy, located directly in the eyes, btw.

BWahaha, mudpuppie that setup was great!

My new personal goal is to use "pestocalypse" at least once a day for the next week.

Ahh, I won't be short of Pesto for a long time 'cause Pesto is my cat.

Somebody reassure me, please — is the spaghetti crop safe?
