Thanks for the heads up. I missed this! I'm getting back in the swing of MeFi and MeCha after a computer-woes mandated limit on my internet time.

To make sure I'm not at the wrong place at the wrong time, is it still Hopleaf, Tuesday, 6:30? I'm pretty sure that I can be there.

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to get to Hopleaf from the Loop - from experience? I don't trust the CTA Trip Planner - it's led me astray before!

If you want brane-dead simple with a minimum of walking, just take the 22 bus up. It's slow, but it goes right past the place. Otherwise, take the Red Line (the best line) to Berwyn, walk west to Clark, and hang a left. It's a couple blocks down on the west side of the street. Either way, look for the big blue and yellow Konak neon sign, and Hopleaf is right next door.

I'll also be bringing along my friend Ari who I am staying with. He works at the Old Town School of Folk Music and is an all-around good guy. We look more or less like this

My friend Alice will hopefully be coming, too.
