That's actually pretty common. Grooming cats, especially with trimmers, is a hell of a lot easier when they're under. Vet clinics do it all the time.

Whenever any of my cats have needed anaesthetic for anything, I've always ask the vet or nurses to do a tooth descale, claw clip and butt-fur-clip while the cat was under. I can just about manage to clip my cat's claws by myself, but it results in lots of swearing (from both the cat and me) and days of sulking from the feline.

I want to make a joke about needing a butt-fur-clip... but I won't.

Not when you've told everyone about 'waxing the snatch' Specklet. We all know you don't need a butt-fur clip.
