I'm hung over and am desperately craving a spicy beef salad from Muu Muu's. And I don't have enough time at lunch to get there and back! *sob*
:( Can I bring you some, Specklet? I'm swinging by there anyhow.

Ok, that's a lie, I'm not anywhere near you. But I wanted to be nice.

hmm... spicy beef salad I can't help you with, Speckie. however if you want a tasty sub from JimmyJohns, served with a smile by a hot bike messenger boy (and trust me there's not a homely one in their bunch), I am calling in my order in about ten minutes.

hm, the boys do ride all over Boulder but dunno if you're in our delivery area.

lemme know :)

I just read the bloody mary suggestions. I wish I could drink on the job. Now I want one. Instead I had this disgusting chicken sandwich from vile Ranch 1.

I love salad but not hungover. Give me grease. Unless its from Ranch 1. Vile.

I think I will be able to enjoy cilantro again.

I don't know about this Pearl district business, but Nicholas' is on my way to work. I could bring you one of their totally orgasmic spinach pies.

Either way, I think I'll get one for myself.

I could go for a Bob Marley burrito from Burritoville. Think they'll ride out to Cleveland?

i've had this irrational craving for cole slaw today. i don't understand it. maybe i'll stop by boston market or something. chow down on some cole slaw before going to see snakes on a plane.

Muu Muu's in not the Pearl! I wouldn't eat in the Pearl! Except the tater tots from the Low Brow. And that's basically Old Town.

I'd love spinach pie, but you don't gotta come all the way out here! I'll get a perfectly serviceable sandwich and like it.

Yeah, you're right; I just can't help but lump NW 21st and 23rd in with that mental "Pearl District" image.

My friend has this picture on her blog. Everyday it makes me want to cry.

Why doesn't In and Out like the East Coast?

God, that looks delicious.

Why doesn't In and Out like the East Coast?

Because we have Five Guys. OMG. I've had both. Five Guys, way better!

What's "Five Guys"?

I also like Culvers. Oh, I wish they had Culvers here too.

I had what was described as a chicken ceasar salad. That was a lie. Chicken: it had chicken in it, yes, but I think it was slightly off, so I didn't eat it. Salad: it was lettucey. Ceasar: it was ranch.

I ate doritos and drank a coke.

OMG Five Guys is teh roxxor. Man, now I want a burger.

Trendy-third was trendy-third before there ever was a "pearl district." I think it was right around the time I graduated high school that Vera Katz announced her big plans for a new "river district." Back in those days, I used to climb fire escapes on the old warehouses on new years to launch fireworks. Good luck trying that now!

Specklet, that salad reminds me of one of my worst food experiences ever:
I was in Redding, California (that was my first mistake!) and I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken. What I got was a bucket of fried chicken, a packet of honey, and a packet of vinegar. I couldn't eat it, and ended up going to Taco Bell.

Sweet jesus, specklet, there must be someplace else to eat around there! Are you near Johns Landing?
posted by cmonkey 18 August | 16:21
Intersection of Barbur and Hamilton. Anything within a mile and a half is doable.

There's where the "chicken ceasar salad" came from, and an overpriced cafe that has saran-wrapped sandwiches. And a quickie mart. I think that's about it.

I'd like to thank the academy for my 1099-MISC! || This is a non sequitur thread.
