16 August 2006

I'm back! Did you miss me?
Mother and I were worried sick.

How was the wedding? Any drama? Spill!

I missed you like the earth missed the sun during the long night of the Ice Age.

We did. I cried for you at the loss of your cosmetics.

Oh, lots of drama at the wedding, including but not limited to:

*Drunk groomsmen at the rehearsal dinner
*Being tricked into setting up tables after the rehearsal
*The bride having dated most of the groomsmen at some point
*Attack of the Killer Bridezilla!
*Catching up on lots of high school gossip
*The groom having to keep one of the slimy wedding guests away from the bride's young cousin

Oh, definitely!

If I ever get married, I want a quiet ceremony and the reception several days afterwards.

Vegas, brujita, Vegas.

Awwww, the bride and groom just called me to (wonder about some things they left in my car and) thank me for coming to the wedding, and giving a toast that gave his side of the story (most people focused on her infatuation with him, but I told people that when he lived in NYC, all he talked about was her).

Ick, no! Now if they allowed events in the garden of Longfellow's house...my grandfather loved "Evangeline" and named his first bookstore the Acadian.

"I'm in love with Massachusetts...."

of course this is all a pipe dream, since I'm not involved with anyone

I missed you like Ray Charles missed the Krauts during his ill conceived stint as a sniper in the Siege of Stalingrad.

Damn it, yes. Stand still for a second while I reload.

I kid only because I love

That sounds like an awesome wedding. But the fact you had to throw away Kiehl's to get there sucks.
posted by halonine 16 August | 13:03
Yea, it was great to see the old gang. There was lots of singing and dancing (including my dead-on Shakira impersonation, and a group TV Theme Song sing-along in my car on the way home from the cermony).

But yea, losing my Kiehl's..... was sadder than paying $112 to fly from Ft. Lauderdale to Tampa.

I swear I saw you at the American Idol auditions at the Meadowlands, pink. You sang a little something on the morning show (channel 4) and were fabulous... I liked the roaring 20s look, too, I think it was...

Nope, not me.

The Man of Honor (male Maid of Honor) just called me to ask, "How does the 'Family Matters' theme song start, again?" I sing it, he says, thanks, goodbye.
