I had a dream last night that I was reading MetaChat. Computer screens have replaced human interaction in my dreamlife. I feel I should worry.
I dreamt I was in the hospital with heart failure, and there was an ice cream truck in my room. I had a toasted almond, and then a vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles. The doctor said I had only a few days to live.
The Virgin Mary is always appearing to Italians (and maybe to others, I don't know) in an almond, Pips. And rainbows obviously mean leprechauns. Perhaps you've been doubly blessed by the supernatural. :-)
Most argue that the almond shape is a symbol of the, uh, shall we say "eternal feminine"? But I like thinking that she's encouraging the consumption of toasted almond ice cream.
I had an elaborate dream last night that was all about the characters from the book The Time Traveler's Wife. It wasn't like I was reading a book - the people were all walking around and stuff - but it was told in a narrative order like reading the book. It wasn't the same events as in the book, but it did have in common the idea of meeting people at different times in your life. It made me want to go read the book again (a marvelous, beautiful book).
The other night I had a dream involving hanging out with Samuel L. Jackson at a Snakes on a Plane wrap party, and being very excited about posting about it on MetaChat. He was excited about it, too. I should definitely worry. A lot.
