BookMooch A site for the free exchange of secondhand books.
The MeFi thread, which is worth checking out for all of the additional good links added in the comments.

We should do this just for MeCha in the wiki. I remember I sent Amberglow a Samuel R. Delany book he wanted.

You can add friends in bookmooch - if you have an account, list your username here - I'd rather my books go to bunnies! (Mine is the same as it is here.)

As I think I've mentioned before, if you work in a large company, think about starting up a book exchange. All you need is a spare cupboard and a dozen books to start. People can take a book if they drop one off. I've picked up some gems from our book exchange, as well as being delighted that I haven't wasted my money on over-hyped best-sellers that I thought were crap.

I once got the Fairytales of Herman Hesse at a book exchange in a hostel in Peru. It was one of the highlights of that trip.

Bunny exchange Wiki! I'm all over that. Much easier, and I bet the selection would be amazing.

Yes! Bunny book exchange! That would be fantastic.

No good to me, because I can never bear to let go of a book once I own it.
