I think, at that point, I would buy a new bike.

After prolonged screaming and jumping up and down.

Good god.

(what makes this worse is, someone sent this to me a week or two ago. My reaction isn't much better now.)

We had an outbreak of these things a couple of years ago. A guy down the street came this || close to setting his house on fire burning them out.

We used to have caterpillars who would make little dangling cocoons in the trees in our front yard, but NOTHING like this! Yuck!

Yeah, but snakes can kill you! Caterpillars? Not so much.

I'm not sure I've ever explained my snake-phobia here. See, I'm afraid because I grew up in rattlesnake country. And believe it or not, I was a friendly child. And as my mother would tell it, as a toddler I never met a person or creature I didn't like. And she was afraid that I would wander up to a rattlesnake and befriend it. So, from a very early age, she convinced me that "we don't like snakes."

And, unlike other things she tried to teach me -- like, for example, dresses are pretty -- that one stuck.

And snakes still terrify me.
