Okay, some football player gets arrested carrying 4 guns whilst driving like a crazy man. I could give a good goddamn about this if it wasn't for this tidbit from the linked article: "On the console, a police photo shows, was a compact disc of children's songs recorded by prison inmates". [More:]WTF? Where can I either hear or buy this CD? This, to me, is the real news.
What I wouldn't give to hear the fourth tier at Rikers singing "Free to Be You and Me" again. Ah, memories.

...or the good folks at Huntsville in a rousing rendition of 'Rainbow Connection'.

There's a Georgia chain gang that does a nice rendition of 'The Wheels On The Bus,' I'm told.

I think this is the CD in question. It's been in the news. A lot. And the xtofascists have been kicking it around a bit, too.

Surreal! Good catch.

well, xtofacsim aside, warbaby, I have to admit that the idea of a kiddie rapist singing on a kid's CD kinda creeps me out.

Of course, here at work, I've entered data on kids CD's of children singing pop hits. Some were stamped 'GUARANTEED NO ADULT VOICES!'

I guess they're aiming at audiopedophelia demographic.

jon, I was commenting on the source, not the content. I used to work with CPS, you may recall.

cool, sorry for the confusion. no offense intended.

Lyons said different criteria applied to Towler because he was not among those "presenting the message" on the CD. Towler did not write the music or perform but only worked as a technical adviser or consultant to the songs' performers

The arrest will not affect Clarett's status with the team, Terry said.

"We gave him a chance and now we'll wait to see what happens," he said. "I've seen far worse situations than this."

Now I'd like to see those situations.

Well, there was that string of incidents a few years back when one OSU basketball player shot a guy in the ass on High Stree, another was involved in a mugging and another got arrested on drug charges, all in the span of a week or so. That was pretty bad.

And while I was a student there, a basketball player (what was with those guys?) led the campus police on a foot-chace through campus, including a parking garage. That wasn't all that bad, but it was pretty weird. I don't remember why he was being chased, though.

Clarett's current team is the Mahoning Valley Hitmen and Jim Terry is the Hitmen coach and owner.
