MetaChat is an informal place for MeFites to touch base and post, discuss and
chatter about topics that may not belong on MetaFilter. Questions? Check the FAQ. Please note: This is important.
You responded as a right brained person to 9 questions, and you responded as a left brained person to 9 questions. According to the Hemispheric Dominance test, you use your left brain the most.
Although, I must point out that recently, it's becoming obvious that the whole left-brained/right-brained thing is not very accurate. Scientist folks have discovered that the ways that the halves of the brain are used are different than previously thought.
The left brain is used when a person is dealing with something familiar, whether is be faces, math, music, what have you. The right side of the brain is used for new things: new thought processes, new objects... new stuff.
Children and teens spend a lot of time using their right brains. Old folks use the left brain more; and it's uncomfortable for us grown-ups to use the right side of the brain (it's all unfamiliar and shit). That's one of the reasons that older people complain about younger people's music. It's not that the music is bad, it's just unfamiliar, and hence uncomfortable.

Well, I always have a tremendous time tarting it up at the somewhat zany balls the left hold (especially those animal fundraisers, I love all species), and I find it difficult to find a gown the ladies of the right woudn't call tawdry or tasteless, so maybe, left? I so don't know, though. The right has better hair.
I saw a bunny for a split second, then it switched to a duck, and now it's really hard to even imagine how on earth I saw a bunny.
I think my brain is mad at itself.
(And did anyone who scored high on right brainedness still get an analysis that made it sound like left-brained people are wonderful, right-brained people are random and need help? Or is that just my prejudice seeping into the reading?)
I saw the bunny first, though that could be because I focused on the eye first and then moved my eyes to the right because that's the way I read books. Saw the duck about 1/4 second later, and can swap between them.
Second test, I got 9/9 so I'm left and not balanced? I'd say I'm pretty unbalanced if I didn't like the test. i.e. "When you walk into a theater, classroom, or auditorium (...), which side do you prefer." My answer is movie theatre is usually centre. Anywhere else is dependent on the door I walk in, and the amount of people in the place (but it's always the edge where there's fewer people).

ummmmm. 37% + 62% = 99%. Does that mean that I'm 1% crazy or what does it mean?
Having seen warbaby's basment, I've no trouble whatsoever in imagining all the tools laid out, ready to make adjustments to a victim's voulunteer's brain.

I took a much better test a few years ago that distinguished between Auditory, Visual, and Kinesthetic learning. I think I came out about 50 Visual, 40 Auditory, and 10 Kinesthetic on that one.
Wolfdog and I are of like minds...9 questions answered in the right hemisphere, and 9 questions answered in the left hemisphere. So either way, I can't make up my mind.
