Any MeChas in Ireland... Wanna help me track down a book that's out of print?[More:]Looking for a copy (pref used) of Denis Cotter's "Cafe Paradiso Cookbook" (not Seasons). Can't find it anywhere but thru his site and he wants more than I hope to pay.
I see a bunch of them on ABE Books, both the one you don't want and what I think is the one you do want. You want the Cork University Press one, right? Looks like about $36 for the cheapest one but that's with $11 worth of shipping.

Thanks, jess. But I'm a little leary of ordering online. I ordered it from Amazon earlier in the year and also from the library and when the books arrived, they weren't the title pictured, but the book I already have. I think there's something wrong with the isbn or something, though it doesn't make any sense to me. (Though happening twice was pretty bizarre.)

I researched this a little. I was curious.

This book was published originally in 1999 by Atrium Press in Ireland (ISBN 0953535304) and reissued in 2001 and 2003. The page numbers are the same, so one could assume that only the date of publication changed, not the contents. Then the first North American ed. was published in 2004 by Hylas Publishing (ISBN 1592580653), with title "Cafe Paradiso Cookbook." But the title on the cover is "Cafe Paradiso Seasons." Hence the confusion.

www.amazon.ca has both. You ordered the 2004 Hylas edition the first time around. Take a look at the 2001 Atrium edition. I think it is the one you want.

And it's on sale!

Thanks, initapplette, but I've ordered both editions (from amazon.ca and the library), but when they arrived, they were both the Seasons one. If you notice, the reviews of both titles are the same on Amazon's site so something fishy is up.

Hmph. There really is no substitute for holding a book in your hand, is there? ;-)
