31 July 2006

A doctor changed my medication today and gave me an injection of something and now I'm feeling realllllly loopy and I'm watching Hee Haw and enjoying it. I sort of felt like I needed to come clean about it. That's all. Thanks.
And you're straight now. . .

No just kidding. . .

No really. . .

*cringe*

its ok mudpuppie. I vividly remember having the flu last winter and actually being riveted for an entire afternoon by curling competition, and thinking 'I can't actually admit this to my friends!'

Hee Haw was always cool to enjoy. It's the white trash equivalent of Good Times. It's a buncha people saying 'we're country-ass white folk and we're ool with it, dig our funky vibe.' Lulu, the BBW in the overalls later admitted that she was flying on acid during most of the filming.

Although one Hee Haw regular came to a very sad end. Sad story, that, really.

Well my friends and I, when we were country rock stoners, used to watch hee haw and glean music from it. Really. Roy Clark was a motherfucker on guitar and other intruments. We would need to wade through the corn, but with enough drugs, we heard some pretty decent music sometimes.

Indeed. I've heard everbody from Queens barroom Irishmen to B.B. King praise Roy's chops. That guy can play.

I saw Roy Clarkd live in Branson MO about 15 years ago.

Oh man, so out of it....

I grew up watching Hee Haw and have always enjoyed it. My favorite was the Reverend Grady Nutt.

Your Hee Haw Joke Of The Day:

"Did you hear the story about the broken pencil?

Well, there's no point to it."
