Public Apology →[More:]Yesterday was my first foray into MetaChat IRC. In order to make a big splash I thought I'd share a joke. It went something like this:

Q: What's the difference Between a Cleveland Steamer and a MetaChat Steamer?

A: In Cleveland, they use saran wrap.

Well imagine my embarrassment when I realized I had said "MetaChat" instead of "MetaTalk." Just to clear the air, I like this web site and don't truly believe anyone here would shit on anyone else. At least in the literal sense. My apologies to all involved. I'd like to now put this sorid affair behind me and run for public office.

Anyone that can customize a Cleveland Steamer joke with such finesse has my vote. I've been wanting jump back into the MeCha IRC lately, but every time I show up the room is empty - and that sort of brings the whole "chat" concept to a screeching halt. Kevin - when's your next IRC set? Is there a blue show?

One of these times IRC will let me in. I follow the wiki instructions and constantly get brutally rebuffed whenever I try to enter. IRC hates me.

getoffmylwn...check and see if any software is protecting you from IRC. I currently use a corp. version of mcafee at home, and it quietly stopped me from accessing irc until I finally found the setting.

I use a Mac and Firefox. I can get to the intimidating screen with blue text, I think I have been able to log in as goml, but when I try to /join #bunnies I always get an error message. Of course I am not at home right now to check exactly what the message reads...
