It has been a long time since I really cut loose and laughed, so I was long overdue.→[More:]In the unlikely event that you find yourself on the Gold Coast, I would strongly recommend that you pay a visit. Quite apart from the awesome sound (powerful enough that I could feel my stomach vibrating) and the reasonable food (who goes there for the food and, considering they feed 500 people in one sitting in an incredibly small venue, you can't expect too much), the staff are fantastic - our waitress was called Shadow, but she said we could call her whatever we liked, so all night it was "bring me a drink, bitch". She got her own back by telling all the tables around us that we were swingers, in addition to loudly offering to sleep with my partner and the other female with us. The venue is incredibly crowded to the point where, when someone wants to go to the toilet, everyone around has to get up - I was standing in the aisle waiting for someone and one of the waitresses snarled "get out of the way, you freak!" Just my kind of place.

The show was loud, completely non-PC, totally lowbrow and absolutely fucking hilarious – I don’t remember the last time I had so much fun. It cost us $500 for four, but was the best $500 I have spent in years.

I also completed my owner-builder course here, so can now build our new house all by myself.
