A Romantic Weekend! Mr. V and I went to Caesars Cove Haven in Pennsylvania, on Lake Wallenpaupack, for the weekend.[More:] Pics start here, and end here. We had a blast-the XXX Newly wed/ Not so Newly Wed game alone was worth it.

One of these days, I'll perfect my posting skills. Sorry, guys! And don't miss the shoutout!
1. That looks like it was a grand, fun time.
2. The "me, again" photo is killer.
3. Whee! Shouted out!

You're really pretty.

I always wondered if those places really had heart-shaped bathtubs and round beds, and now I know!

Thank you, iconomy! *blush* Oh, and some rooms really do have champagne tower tubs, too. And great sound-proof rooms ;^)

was it clean? i worked for a bridal magazine ages ago, and those places in the poconos were notorious for being dirty and shabby--we got letters about them all the time.

Actually, it was very clean, very nice, the staff was exceptional (especially Honest Phil the activities director and Dennis, one of the wait staff). We met a couple who has been coming back for 17 years! Here's a link to their site.
We definitely want to go back sometime. Down side? A little too much "rap" music in the entertainment lounge while waiting for the show to begin-which was strange, judging from the mix of couples. Plenty of young people (read: in their early twenties) and plenty of other ages, too. Anyone interested, I would recommend it as a wonderful get-a-way.

Dang it, how do I get the link to stop?

Hehe. You just have to put the end tag (the /a part) at the end of the last word you want linked.

Wow, a shoutout! I feel so ... included.

Yay! Thanks for the shoutout. Me and pips are gonna have to hit that joint, for the heart shaped tub alone. My weekend was spent dealing with uniformed invaders, visiting hospitals, and dressing up like a drunk pirate. Wanna trade?

Fall is a very nice time to visit to see the foliage change. Many wonderful back roads for leisure drives.

As some of you may know, I grew up in the Poconos and my family still lives there. I know all the hidden, off the map stuff if anyone else goes on vacation there.

I'll have to contact you again, getoffmylawn, 'cause we want to go back. Of course, now we have to find another sucker, er, family member, to watch the kids again, now that my mom is moving to Seattle. I love that area!

Oh, and jonmc and pips, the atmosphere is great, it's romantic, and the staff is great, but just to let you know, the food is only okay. I can't say that, the buffet breakfast has tons of choices, and the buffet dinner was great. But the sit-down dinner, the steak was only okay. Like I said, you can't miss the XXX Newly Wed/Not So Newly Wed game. There are some FREAKS out there!

NO ONE SHOULD GO TO THE POCONOS WITHOUT TALKING TO GOML FIRST.

I know where the good food and drinks can be had - and which places to avoid, I know the good bars and dance clubs, all the hidden sight seeing stuff the locals keep to themselves, and if you promise to be moderately good i'll share the locations with you as long as you don't act like a tourist, I also know where all the good shopping is!!!
