Southbound Asheville carpool thread! So, as far as I know it's Dano and myself coming from Baltimore/DC and Mike and Rainbaby from Richmond, right? Anyone coming from further north? Do we want to meet in Richmond and consolidate? When are we leaving? Coming back? So many questions!

rainbaby and I are driving down Friday and back Monday morning. We haven't worked out exact times yet, but it's about 7-8 hours from Richmond so I'd presumably plan to be there early/mid morning Friday to allow for a dinnertime arrival.

The more the merrier! I can take two more in my car provided people don't bring too much luggage.

The drive from Richmond is sadly blah and boring - I 95 to I 85 to I 40. The drive from Baltimore is gorgeous most of the way. This is all I can add to this thread, except soon perhaps we should do a planning thread? How agenda-ized do y'all want this to be?

I vote for "not very". It seems like there will be few enough people that can play things mostly by ear.

(oooooh. some friends of mine do a 'wheel of food' in which all possible options are on a wheel and we spin to figure out where to go. perhaps a 'wheel of asheville' is in order?)
