Say it ain't so. Viacom is maybe looking to purchase The Onion.

That'll start blowing chunks faster than you can say National Lampoon's Worst Movie Ever.

Eh, although I'd hate to see it happen, the content probably wouldn't change, just the advertising sales staff. Don't forget that Viacom owns Comedy Central, home of the Daily Show and Colbert Report -- and you don't see Viacom messing with them, do you?

The Onion stopped being funny a while ago, didn't it?

Well I thought so too. . .but there are free copies avail. on the street in NYC and I really enjoyed reading them.

About 5 years ago I gave my brother a subscription for x mas, and he actually stopped it, he hated it so much. I still don't understand that one.

I loves me some Onion, but a steady weekly diet is a bit much.

The 2000 Election and 9/11 issues are classics of American black humor..
