wtf? there is WRESTLING on the sci-fi channel
well, pro wrestling involves physics, which makes it a kind of science fiction, right?

It's poorly staged post-apocalyptic Greek drama, so I guess that might make sense.

I mean, at least it's not on the History Channel.

It is a sign of the end of times.

Oh man, there was something totally inappropriate (meaning non-historic) on the History Channel a couple days ago. I can't remember what it was, so you'll just have to wonder. Of course, they'll certainly replay it within three days, so you won't have to wonder long.

SF + WWE = SCA

No, it's a sign of media consolidation, specifically: the USA Channel (owned by GE/NBC/Universal) had to offer WWE (which owns Extreme Wrestling) something extra to beat Viacom-owned Spike TV's offer to show "Monday Night RAW". What they offered was the showcase on another one of the NBCU channels (if they put it on Bravo, then they'd be admitting they were totally gay, although CNBC should've been an alternative - that channel's shown reruns of Deal or No Deal). Also an occasional special on NBC on Saturday Night when nobody's watching. The only thing Viacom couldn't match was the broadcast outlet, because they recently UN-merged from CBS (which also owns UPN/theCW where it's already on), and I'm sure WWE wants as many shows on as many different networks as they can get. Simple?
