Please be my virtual boyfriend and help me get my DVD player working I can't get my TV to go into DVD mode. The DVD seems to be playing, but there's no picture. Please help me.

It used to work properly before my last remote died, so I figure it's a remote programming issue.

I've programmed in all the codes listed in my remote manual for Sony. Most of them seem to work, but none give me a picture on the screen.

Okay, now I've got a black screen, and sound. I suppose that's progress, sort of. At least I don't have to watch that shit TV program that was playing on channel 3.
