Lewis Black has a bit about how ironic it is that we're trying to teach the world how to form democracies (see also the Putin post) when at least half of Americans don't even bother to vote.

The soldiers serve this country in what ever way they're directed, and the thanks they get is help that takes over a year to get to them. They return to this country needing help in so many ways, and it's nothing but a struggle for them. I support our soldiers, all of them, and have nothing but praise for them and all they give up. But this administration sucks, and I have no respect for it at all.
