I like crushes. Fun crushes are the best. The kind where you don't care how they turn out, because you're just having so much fun with the whole thing.

Sure, it's disappointing when they don't turn out, but the consolation prize is how awesome and invincible you felt while you were in it. You can just wrap that feeling around your heart and smile and look forward to the next crush.

I like when they turn out well, though. That's the best.

A crush is unreciprocated love, yes? Agape, as opposed to Eros.

So what does a crush become when reciprocated?

I know a philospher who argues that crushes and puppy love (particularly your very first crush) is about as close to Agape as you will ever get. All further experience is closer and closer to Eros.
