what to do for a loose tooth? [More:]
I guess I hit one of my teeth just right with a spoon earlier when I was eating some ice cream (all I can think of) and now I have a bit of a loose tooth. Not horribly painful but hard to eat for it. One of my canines (I think that is right) so it is close to the front and hard to avoid. Anything I can do to help it tighten back up or is it basically just be really careful for a few days?
Go to the dentist.

Seriously.

Go to the dentist.

I could tell you scary dental stories.

I don't know if you have dental coverage, but either way you should go to the dentist.

Dentist. It's the 21st century, there are things they can do now.

There's almost nothing you can do yourself.

Trust me on this.

CALL THE DENTIST RIGHT NOW THIS VERY MINUTE.

There is a very real, and very definite possibility that the root will die and your tooth will turn BLACK, but NOT EVER fall out. Happened to TWO people I know.

CALL THE DENTIST RIGHT NOW.

Definitely go to the dentist, ASAP. You don't want it to fall out and choke on it or swallow it. Plus, it could get infected. Too many bad things could happen. Dentist.

Don't you have a tooth tightener available? I think they sell 'em at the local hardware store.

Dentists are for wimps.

Does it wiggle? I'd say dentist too, but occasionally my right canine does that for a few days - and then returns to normal. Its very scary tho. My teeth move on occasion, still attached to braces on the inside (which it totally wanna get rid of but there isnt a dentist in the world who will remove them for me.)

doorknob, string and an unfeeling sibling?

If it was good enough at six, it should be good enough at any age.
