Apartment hunting... the nightmare begins So, tomorrow my roommate and I are going to look at an apartment. Wish me luck!

We need to move. Right now there are two of us living in a very small three room open floor plan apartment. The place we're looking at is just around the corner from where we are now (major plus, I love my neighborhood). It's huge (yay). It's not even $200 more than we pay now (which means my half will still be less than I paid when I lived here alone). And, he's seen the inside.
The landlord will not be told this, but an ex of his lived there several years ago (small city, most of the goth "scene" lives in the same general area, so not uncommon. I know three people who've lived where I am now at some point). His ex's residency didn't end well (her fault), but he remembers the place. It is, apparently, well decorated, massive, well mantained, with a huge kitchen and tons of closets.
So, I want it. Sight unseen, I want it. I hate apartment hunting, and I want to be out before the weather breaks, with enough time to give notice here. That means we have to find a place in the next month and a half.
My standards are painfully low. A real bedroom. A fridge that's younger than my mom. More than four kitchen cabinets. A bathtub. From all he's said, this more than exceeds them.
So tonight I'm on edge, worried we won't get it. Worried she won't wait until Friday for our security deposit. All that nonsense. I honestly feel bad about having to leave here, since I love my landlords to bits, but we just need more space. (and a $175 difference on four times the space would be foolish to pass up!)
