Saw a link to ihateronaldo.com on another community blog today and thought at first that they were talking about the fat Brazilian guy. "What do they hate him for," I wondered, "being fat?" But that's surely not a crime, now is it? Or are they blaming him for Brazil losing to France?

So I click on the link and I see this...thing. And I'm even more confused. Why make up conspiracy theories about Christiano Ronaldo and his wink, if from the footage provided it is quite clear that Rooney plants his left foot in another player's groin right under the ref's nose? Couldn't it possibly be that this is what he got the card for? But now, it has to be Ronaldo's secret hatred against Rooney that lead to this (and England not making it to the semifinals).

Whether Rooney deserved a card or not, Cristiano Ronaldo, his teammate, crossed the pitch to argue against leniency, and then acted as if he himself had something to do with Rooney's sending off (the wink). It's not a conspiracy theory to suggest that Ronaldo did his best to make Rooney's punishment as harsh as possible.

England have themselves to blame; Rooney has himself to blame; Cristiano Ronaldo has England to blame him. Who can blame them?
