Foolish things Specklet has done. →[More:]

A couple years ago: Date someone she worked with.

A couple months ago: Left the little dumbbells in the middle of the floor where she knew she would trip on them and painfully injure her toe.

Yesterday: Lay out in the sun longer than the fifteen minutes she knows she can tolerate before starting to burn and getting a bow from her bikini string sunburned into the middle of her back.

Fellow sunburn sufferer here after my weekend at the Jersey shore. My calves and feet are lobster red, but thankfully I sunscreened the {ahem} sensitive areas.

Ouch.

Oh, and mudpuppie laughed (laughed!) when I sent her a picture of me in my new sex-ay bikini. The nerve.

It's my first summer in teh sun since I was 16 and I'm very good at coating the little one in super-sunblock (she's got my skin) but I keep forgetting myself. Tanned and freckled, oh yeah. I hate that. No bad burns yet tho. Phew!

Clarins' Huile Irisée Après Soleil is a classic remedy; and Arval's Hydratant Après Solaire seems to be a pretty good choice at this point.

I put sunblock everywhere except my feet yesterday so now I have Keen Sandal red bits on my feet.

But now, let me get this straight... the sun BURNS? But it's so far away! (farther than Halifax, even)
Ha ha, I love goofin' on honkeys. I don't wear sunscreen unless I'm between the tropics. Skin cancer's a long shot at best for me, but you can all laugh at me if I get it.

White vinegar on the sunburn. It stings at first, but it makes it go away. Then olive oil. Yes, you will smell like a salad, but you will feel better.

I just bought some of that color-match foundation makeup, and the little clear plastic thingy that you put next to your skin to see what color you should get told me that I was the lightest possible shade that they make. And this is in summer.

I did get some cute new freckles on my forearms yesterday.

Freckles rock bean. I am definitley pro freckles.

I am anti skin cancer though, so for the most part, I am pale. Sometimes, depite my best efforts, I brown up a bit though. Yup.

I think the bikini (prepares to duck) is cute Speck. Not laughable though. It's cute, and so are you. So there.

sunburnt?! Oh, no worries. Potato. Uncooked. But peeled. Cut in half and rub on the irritated skin. Works wonders.
