Bathing Suits, etc.! What are you wearing this year? →[More:]
Specklet has a bikini, and jonmc and warbaby's girlfriend, well, don't. What about you?
I decided I am sick to death of worrying about wayward pubic hairs sticking out of my swimsuit, so from now on I'm going with two-piece tank suits that have pants.
Cut offs and a t-shirt, usually. I do have 2 bathing suits, a vintage navy blue one with white polka dots and a large bow and a little skirt and a very smart black tankini with large flowers on it, but generally I stick to the time honored Appalachian cut offs, t-shirt and ancient pair of black chucks.
It's a drag hearing all you ladies so down on how you look in swimwear. If going to nude beaches has taught me anything,(and this isn't just me being my usual self) it's that people look better the less they wear. It's all about comfort in your own skin.
I have two swimsuits, one that has a colorful print that sort of looks like tiny glass mosaic tiles and another that's more a classic black and white forties style. One is too small for me and the other too big, and neither looks very good on. Meh.
I'm ubiquitous this summer in a drastically faded and ripped pair of jeans that I will wear until they can no longer be called any kind of clothing (prolly one more washing).
For me, it's not so much how I look as it is that going swimming usually involves a hike through the woods before and after, and you feel pretty dumb doing that in a bathing suit, not to mention the poison ivy, mosquitos and thorns.
I try to wear only a long t-shirt that maybe says something about myself. Like it could have a bear on it with the message "I find clothes unbearable". It's great when they fit just enough so the tip of my penis is showing. Any more is kinda obscene. It's a good look for me, I think.
It so happens that I bought myself a new bathing suit for the first time in years, a cute little turquoise and lime two piece with boy cut shorts and a sport bra style top. It was kind of a bonus that they just coincidentally had my (real) first initial monogrammed on them (because it's also the brand first initial).
