The fair in my county is going to have Jessie McCartney, Ne-Yo and Mya (their first hip-hop night), Larry the Fake Cable Guy, Paul Simon with a special guest ashamed to admit who they are, Velvet Revolver, Rick Springfield, Keith Urban, Carrie AmericanIdrool Underwood, Steve Miller Band with special guest WAR (It's 1974 again!), Michael Motherfucking Bolton, Clay Walker and the Rodeo Finals (that's not a group) and Monster Madness and Arenacross (of course it'll be on SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY).

The Budweiser B-stage will have All American Rejects, Shemekia Copeland (a "Friday Night Blues" event), James Hunter, Del Castillo, Rockie Lynne (NOT the son of Jeff), Ronnie Milsap, Herman's Hermits with Peter Noone, Mary Wilson of the Supremes (It's 1965 again!), Casting Crowns, Tesla and Banda La Costena (ayiyiyi!!). And don't forget the Miss California Mid-State Fair Pageant (winner goes up against Mid-State Fair Pageant winner from wherever else they have Mid-State Fairs for the title of Miss Everyplace They Have a Mid-State Fair!)

And on the Pepsi/Albertsons Supermarket (Sorry No Double Coupons) stage, the BoDeans, Raul Malo, John Corbett Band (yes, he's the Northern Exposure/My Big Fat Greek Wedding/Sex and the City guy), Shannon Brown, Cross Canadian Ragweed (BEST BAND NAME AT THE FAIR. PERIOD.), Billy Ray Cyrus (Achey Break THIS), Charley Daniels Band (The Devil Went Down to Paso Robles), Alana Grace and "The Boys of Summer Tour Featuring Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block, Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, Bryan Abrams of Color Me Badd and Michael Copon of One Tree Hill" (LOOOOOSERS).

Oh, and the Albertson's Talent Show - should I go there and do my Ground Level Tightrope Walking Act that was featured on the L.A. Channel 9 news in 1974? I guess only if I can get Steve Miller and WAR playing my back-up music...

In summary, Paso Robles and Northern San Luis Obispo County may have a lot of wineries and beef cattle ranches, but during the fair, the area's #1 product will be CHEEEZE.

Here are the numbers: $6.00 to park in the fair lots, so carpooling is nice. It's an idea to maquest yourself a few maps of the side streets around the civic center and look for street parking. The fair admission is $13.00, but that includes JFJ!!! Rides, fair stuff, JFJ, and fireworks for 13 bucks. Showtime: 7:30pm and the weather in Marin is sunny, cool, and very breezy today.
