*sigh* -- I just got back from drinkin' with my friend Jake. It's his birthday...but best of all? Jesse Sykes of Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter was hangin' out with us!
She's a really cool person and if you like alt-country, you should check her out.
I told her she needs to make the ultimate make-out record...hopefully, she didn't think I was nuts.
I like what I'm hearing, buddy.

The Smoke Shop in Ballard.

I don't know that spot, but I was thinking Ballard (Seattle's heart of alt-country).

yes, it was the second time I've met her...it's so hard not to turn into a gushing fanboy, so I usually act like a barely am acquainted with her music.
'Don't Let Me Go' and 'Tell The Boys' are my favorite songs of hers!

Oh man, I used to see her at Hattie's Hat all the time back when she was dating [married to?] that guy from Hazen, the one who looked like Moocher from breaking away. Then she started going out with the guy who worked there -- tall slim dude with a cowboy hat -- and hung out all the time. She is sort of amazing, no?
