Haha! Germany will never run out of beer. The Poms are like those fish you have in the tank that clean up all the crap. The Germans might run out of poor beer (supposing there is such a thing there), but I think we're safe.
Are you going for Argentina or Germany though? Man, I wanted that to be the final, but now I don't know who I'll go for.
Man, it has to be the game of the tournament. West Germany (as I like to think of them) are playing as well as... well, as well as the Argies. It will be a Zen experience. The only thing wrong with that is that it isn't the final yet.
Oh man, I once watched the Caps lose to the Penguins in an NHL playoff game that lasted several hours; I think they played seven overtime periods (yes, that's 3 1/3 games for the price of one). Much as I hate penalty shootouts, the alternative makes me shudder.
I was under the impression that many Brits do not really like German beer. maybe they drink imports.
re: Argentina-Germany. I blame Pekerman, he botched every decision he had to take (Cambiasso for Riquelme? all that defensive play? and why leave Cruz so alone out there?). of course, Sorin really fell asleep when the German guy jumped, you just don't lose that essential one-yard advantage he had on the guy. he just didn't move, I really don't understand why.
