DumbCo 11th Hour? →[More:] Yesterday just before leaving I got an email for an 'all hands'(apparently we've joined the Navy) meeting with the urinal talker. Oddly, only some of us got the email and it's in a small conference room that can only fit a few people. As Bobby D. said 'Could this really be the end?'

Well, Senor Janus, our friend Sandra from Cleveland (who works in another dept. and isn't getting laid off-yet) didn't get called to this meeting. And today was the original layoff date.

They just calling you in so they can say, "Hey folks, your original layoff date is come and gone. If you look here in the fine print, just above your signature, it says that if you're in the building at any point beyond, oh, 9:15 am on said date, your life, soul, and property are forfeit, all debts to be collected by Old Nick himself, and held over hot coals in perpetuity."

I wouldn't worry about a thing.

I just passed the conference room. There's a bunch of supervisors and up meeting in there. Whatever happens, this is an awful lot of agida to put people through.
