30 June 2006

I can't keep my eyes open. Literally. (Rough week.) Coffee does no good. Any suggestions?
Cocaine.

Red Bull.

Thanks. Neither are in supply in the office. Maybe Red Bull at (early) lunch after a nap. It really works?

20 minute nap in a sunpatch.

Go into the restroom and fill the sink with ice and then cold water, and keep dunking your face into it, and your wrists. Splash it around. Rub some in your hair. Get yout pits wet - take a mini shower in the sink. It really works! It'll totally invigorate you. Drinking water helps too, a lot.

Just say no to soy cappuccinos! At least for right now... ;)

The face and wrists are the main things - keep them icy.

Whenever I used to pull all-nighters, I found eating a good dose of protein helped. Can you get a turkey sandwich or something like that? A Clif bar?

Just because I know we both go insane over this, Shane: beg a coworker to come into your office and chew gum loudly, sniff continuously, and eat with their mouth open.

THAT will keep you awake.

Vitamin b--emergen-c has it.

A few yoga stretches, a glass of water, and a brisk walk around the block, and few more yoga stretches. Strech out your face muscles by making funny faces. Shake like a wet dog and get your blood flowing. Turn the stero/radio on and dance around - who cares who see you, it's FRIDAY!!!

slam a five hour energy drink. They have them in drug stores, usually in the diet section for some reason.

Scare up a dump, make sure it's a good one; endure fifteen minutes of post-crap torpor, after which you'll have the energy of twenty mighty lions, guaranteed.

Unless you've been eating nothing but hot chilies and potato chips, in which case, hold off, man, hold off as long as you can.

Vitamin B/niacin megadoses (in short durations.)

Otherwise, glass, crank, tweak, tina or crystal up the bum.

Water. Stretching. Vitamin B. Repeat.

LOL! Thanks.

I napped for an hour (at home, five minutes from work), walked and stretched, splashed cold water.

I think I'll make it through the day and tonight will be a VERY nice deep sleep.

Deep breathing also helps, I think. At least when I'm in that burnt-out, need-to-crash tired stage. A few active deep breaths.
