Your extended weekend plans? [More:]
1. Helping compile the funny answers for the LiveJournal Daily Quiz (if you have an LJ, you can still participate!)
2. Hanging with the sister/bro-law/nieces in either Jersey or Manhattan, or both
3. Laundry (this week, for sure!)

5. Research how to be a freelance editor or dominatrix
6. BBQ with the new roommate and her friends on Sunday!
My boss just told me that I don't have to come in on Monday. Four day weekend. So happy right now.

I'm taking next Wednesday and Thursday off on top of the four-day weekend I already get. Awesome!

I am deliberately not making plans for the weekend. However, I will be buying a bottle of Basil Hayden's bourbon on Friday afternoon, and the bourbon will probably get it into its head to make some plans for me.

I get no extended weekend. :( Work as usual

AND I have to work around the fact that most other folks are off, so nobody will answer emails or their phones, etc. It bites.

My week long vacation starts Friday at 5 pm. I am going to get new tires, spark plugs and an oil change. Get my carpets cleaned. Pay my bills and do my chores so I can enjoy my time off. Spending the entire day Monday at the Marin County Fair and getting to see Joan fucking Jett perform live. I am going to eat funnel cake and ride the rides. I am going to lay by the pool and be lazy. I am going to go into SF and get cheese steaks and Tastykakes. I am going to play on the internet. I am going to try to be happy for a change.

these are a few of my favorite things...

The mention Basil Hayden's has inspired me: I think I'll make frou-frou but strong drinks involving the mint from my container garden.

Not that I would dare to dilute/pollute Basil Hayden's.

Whoopee dame, I'm excited! The landlord called and is giving me the keys tomorrow night at 6. I'm actually moving, eeeeeee!

My boyfriend is flying into town for the long weekend (yay!), so our plans probably mirror pips's.

That, and fireworks, and PBR (the great Amurrikun Beer) if we can find it.

Working, painting, maybe an afternoon in a backyard. I've read 6 books in the last three days, and I'm thinking I should keep that up.

Yay for "naked time," muddgirl! (It's mainly jon's "thing," so to speak, but I do like to join in the reindeer games now and then...). : )

We may drive out to a nudie beach this weekend in jersey... (I have to shave... legs, just legs). : )

Working through the long British Columbia weekend and all my friends are independently out of town camping so I'll probably spend the weekend on some mood-modifying substances making a mess of #bunnies.

Either that or playing Stubbs the Zombie: A Rebel Without a Pulse.

It seems I'm officially meetin' and greetin' (but not drinkin').

Lightshow on Saturday night.
Sunday, break it down and haul out.
Monday... monday. Keg the stout? Dunno. Chill. No work.
Tuesday, set fire to patriots wearing American flag t-shirts. Particularly the ones saying "You can't burn this flag." Fireworks party down in Old Town.
Weds. work
Thurs. work. Go to Seattle for American Magic Lantern Society convention on Friday. I think it will be like a Shriner's convention but with projectors instead of the little cars.
Fri. AMLS
Sat. AMLS
Sun. AMLS
Monday work, but not very hard because I'll be all worn out from long weekend.

No long weekend here. Last year I spent 4 July at Niagara Falls. Best. Fireworks. Ever.

Saturday I drive up to my sister's for her 50th birthday. England play Portugal in the World Cup Quarter Final on Saturday afternoon. The only sport sis likes is F1 racing. She hates football, so her husband isn't allowed to watch it. She said they won't have the game on. I can foresee an argument because either I'll get to watch the game at her house (while she moans nonstop) or I'll go out and find somewhere else to watch it. Either way, I'm not missing it.

Friday - dunno...but I assume beer will be involved.
Saturday - help Frito get his scooter to the shop in Fremont then to El Stu's for a BBQ.
Patty will join me then the two of us will head to Wes'Seattle for my friend Mercedes birthday BBQ. She just got engaged, so there's two things to celebrate.
Sunday - Al Gore movie with Stu. Maybe a nice long, motorcycle ride.
Monday - Help my mother move.
Tuesday - Xtina's wedding.

Friday: Work.
Saturday: Work.
Sunday: Work (just the morning though).
Monday: Work.
Tuesday: Work. Upon further review, the management decided to let us all have Independence Day off. So, that is the entirety of my "extended" weekend.

But it's back to work on Wednesday, though.

No long weekend here, but I am taking this afternoon off anyway (in 15 minutes to be precise).

My weekend:
Friday afternoon - finish packing (dismantle computers and network, home theatre gear and various other life essentials)
Saturday - move all our belongings into a storage shed, apart from absolute essentials (see above, plus beds if they will fit), which are going into Mum's garage where we will be living for the next couple of months.
Sunday - come back to the house that we lovingly built four years ago and clean, mow lawns trim hedges etc to prepare it for handing over to new owners on Wednesday (they won't love it like we did, I just know it).
That's it. A sad weekend in a way, but the start of a new adventure in house-building, which is exciting.
