Otters are freaking awesome. I've swam with sea otters. They're mischevious and incredibly cute little buggers, especially when they do that whole floating on their backs and using their round little tummies as dining tables thing.
One day I will do a little belly-sliding with river otters in the snow.
When I was a kid there were otters in the lake at my grandfather's cottage. They scared me at first because they move so quickly and I thought they were some kind of monster. After a while I realized how cool they were, but sadly, they tend to keep their distance when you're in the water too :( I would always try to get them to come play with me.
Their cams are great. Best thing about them is that they seem to be monitored in real-time be a person, so if the action is going on off-screen, the camera tracks to find it.
Cam-wise, Sasshat, you're right. But in person, the kelp forest is really, really cool. It's two stories tall and it undulates like, well, like the ocean. It's awesome to see in person.
