There's a Slashnet channel set up for help issues (it's called, interestingly, #help). All the help folks have been idle all day, though. I've popped in a few times.

Okay, but are you using Chatzilla? If you are, go to Chatzilla preferences (Tools > Options).

Under the General tab, find the Identification section.

Replace every default entry (New Now Knew How, or whatever it says) with different text. Then try connecting.

On preview: The problem may be that you're using AOL. They apparently had a problem last night and banned AOL people, but they say the ban was lifted last night, so that shouldn't be a problem anymore. Plus, since Triode and Sasshat got kicked too (I don't think they use AOL), that shouldn't be the cause.

Try this stuff and let me know.
