Should I buy a laptop of eBay? The price isn't "too good to be true," but it is affordable. Seller has a good rep. :|
AHHHH!!!! TOO LATE!!!! I JUST DID IT!!!! NOW I HAVE BUYER'S REMORSE!!!! I HOPE THE BATTERIES HOLD A CHARGE!!!!

Poor impulse control! Link to the auction. I don't think there is any reason not to buy a laptop off Ebay if the seller has good ratings on a lot of items.

I'm too ashamed to provide a link, because it wasn't really a laptop.

It was one of those real sex dolls

Well, but was it affordable?

I'm just kidding... it wasn't a sex doll. It was THIS!

For my wife. She likes 2 things in her computer: internet capability and cuteness, so I figured she needed an old mac.

Never buy a computer off of ebay unless you want to get a box full of rocks in the mail.

So, what you're basically saying is that if I want to purchase a box full of rocks, I should bid on a computer? That's confusing. Thank goodness for PayPal's insurance policy!

You'll probably be alright. The seller doesn't have very much feedback and its all too old to see what was purchased or sold. And I've got a G3 Pismo running as my kitchen computer, this iBook will smoke it!

Nice buy, I think.

I'm currently surfing MetaChat on a computer that I bought on ebay - or am I hammering my fingers on a box full of rocks? The only problem with it is a manageable heat issue that was common with laptops of this model - I knew that going in - but it had all the bells and whistles I wanted and I won it on a bid 80 dollars below my budget. Worked for me. YMMV.

There's a number of Mac users who keep an eye out for scam artists and Ponzi bids.

Hi, I'm about to buy my first box of rocks. I just need it for internet and email. What type of rock would you recommend?

You're probably alright but I wouldn't have done it. Too few feedback as seller (3). If you email with the seller, make sure his name is Kevin. He's identified as such in one of the feedbacks.

I am putting up a g3 500 iBook on CL today, I think. No idea what to charge for it though. I should probably just eBay it instead but the thought of shipping it doesn't excite me (I don't have the box). Anyway, good luck with your purchase. I'm sure it'll be alright.

I'll post the gory details when it gets to me... if it ever does!
